they got it ready in less than 2 months notice. i had no idea that i needed a lot of time before the wedding to have the dress made. it fit perfectly. most importantly my now husband got nervous seeing how pretty the dress was on me.

The ladies at Amy Kuschel custom made a new version of the "ballet" dress for me -- it was perfection!

I went here since I had found a dress I really liked by looking at their website. I called and they were able to get me in that day. Once I arrived, I was stunned. The store is beautiful, simple, and clean. Plus, the woman (I'm pretty sure it was Katrina) that helped me was nice to work with. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and relaxed. She even recommended places to look for bridesmaids dresses, accessories and so forth. Actually, of all the bridal stores I went to during the search for my wedding dress for my wedding and my bridesmaids dress for my sister's wedding, the service I received here was the best. I tried on a number of dresses and all were much more to my liking then any I'd seen or tried on in the other shops I'd been to or have been to since. When I tried on the one I saw online and walked out, my fiancé’s jaw dropped. We both immediately knew that indeed it was "The Dress". I proceeded to ask about pricing and other information. I did not order my dress from here, although I wanted to so badly. The place was nice, they had the dress I wanted, but I can't pay $2300 - $2600 for a dress-- not even a wedding dress. I'd like to emphasize that the dress I picked out was one of the simplest wedding dresses I'd seen anywhere and was thus obviously horribly over priced. Once I was told that there weren't any sales, promotions, or other ways to bring the price down other then a small discount for "decisive brides", I realized I'd have to go about getting my dream dress a different way. In the end, Amy Kuschel lost my business just because of the price. I had the same dress specifically made for me by a seamstress for less then 1/5 of the price counting all materials and labor. Now, supposedly Amy's dresses are so expensive because they are all made specifically for you and tailored to your body; however, my dress was made specifically for me and didn’t cost anything near $2300 and this was after the “decisive bride discount”.

I had a fabulous experience getting my wedding dress from Amy Kuschel. It was the first bridal salon I visited, and I only went to one more before I knew that I didn't need to look any more. I had found my dress on that first visit to Amy Kuschel. All of my interactions with the salon went very smoothly. The sales representatives were patient, helpful, and honest. The dress was made to my measurements and fit almost perfectly when I went in for my first fitting. There was a slight problem with the lining, and the women who actually had assembled my dress were called downstairs to see it on me, evaluate the problem, and determine the best way to resolve it. When I went back for the second fitting, my dress fit like a glove with no additional alterations. For the personal attention and made-to-order dress, the price was certainly reasonable.

Stunning dresses at a great price. Everything is custom made to fit you and your body, not just some same that has to be altered a bunch of times to try and make it look right for you. Their showroom is roomy and comfortable unlike all of those stuffy bridal boutiques you typically see. I highly recommend Amy Kuschel Bride!

Amy Kuschel is by far one of the best wedding boutiques in SF. I found my dress at Amy Kuschel. The best part of buying your dress at Amy Kuschel is your dress is made just for you at the SF office. You must buy your dress at the SF store in order to get the individualized tailoring. But it's well worth it. Dresses at the boutique are modern and classic in style. Prices are moderate to high. Typical dress costs between $1800 to $2200. Price includes the personal tailoring. My dress fit like a dream and I'm so very happy to have worked with the staff at Amy Kuschel. All of the ladies were very professional and sweet. Even if you don't find your dream dress at Amy Kuschel, its worth a visit.Boutique is located in downtown in SF, close to BART and other wedding boutiques.

Amy Kuschel provided a soothing and beautiful setting to think about the finer wedding details. Every visit to the studio was a delight, and I felt confident the dress alterations were going smoothly. On my wedding day, the dress (Laurel) fit perfectly, imparting the ultimate bridal glow. I thought I would be able to recoup some of the financial losses by reselling my dress, but now after the wedding, I am so attached to my beautiful dress that I plan to keep it.

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish at Amy Kuschel Bride. Prior to my first appointment I had reviewed Amy's designs on the website and new that her elegant sophisticated gowns were exactly what I was looking for. At my first appointment, Chasa, was very nice and professional helping me browse the gowns as well as picking some that where within my budget. She was not at all pushy during any of my appointments and truly seemed interested in helping me find the perfect gown and not just make a sale. After my first appointment I had already narrowed my selections to two gowns and eventually purchased my first choice on my 2nd appointment. (If you purchase a gown by the second appointment they give you a $150 credit which I though was a great bonus for the decisive bride). All the gowns are made to your specifications so you will be measured inch by inch to ensure a good fit. All my fittings went well and it was fun watching the gown take shape. Amy's gowns are beautifully crafted right upstairs from the salon and they use high quality fabrics with a great attention to detail. For the quality of the craftsmanship her gowns are very reasonably priced! I cannot count how many compliments I received on this gown on my wedding day. It was perfect!

A friend recommended Amy Kuschel bride to me as she got her dress there and the minute I looked at their website I knew I would find my dress there. This was the first place I looked at dresses and I tried Genevieve and I fell instantly in love with it. I tried on several other dresses at other places and some of them ran a close second to Geneveive, but ultimately, nothing held a candle to it and I ended up choosing it and to have it custom made just for me was just perfect. I even looked forward to the fittings just so I could wear it again. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever worn! The staff and service at Amy Kuschel was fantastic and really worked hard to make my dress beautiful. I also got my veil here and it was also perfect. I cannot recommend Amy Kuschel bride enough! Thank you for the most beautiful dress I have ever owned!

No where else can you get a dress made specifically for you of such high quality at this price point. Amy, who was my consultant was wonderful. I also made some changes to one of the designs and they were done without a problem. I couldn't have been happier with my expericence at Amy Kuschel from my initial consultation throughout the entire process.

I loved my experience at Amy Kuschel. First of all, the location is great; it's close to BART and is in a beautiful building with lots of light. Family members and bridesmaids who came to the salon with me during my fittings, etc. loved the style of the space and the great service from those who work in the shop. My final dress was beautiful (I chose Novak) and received so many compliments on my wedding day because it fit me perfectly! Such a great experience; I highly recommend Amy Kuschel.

I found my gorgeous Amy Kuschel bridal gown through my local bridal salon (Bella Sera Bridal, Danvers MA). I was actually fortunate enough to grab it during a sample sale over a year before the big day. I specifically sought out an Amy Kuschel gown because I discovered that she had hosted a fundraiser event in support of same-sex marriage in California (surrounding the Proposition 8 debate). Being one of two brides myself, I knew that an Amy Kuschel gown would be good karma. Thank you, Amy Kuschel for being a fan of my right to marry the woman I love AND for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!

i really DREADED the whole wedding dress shopping process. went to a few places before completely feeling comfortable at Amy Kushel. when you walk in, it can be intimidating (beautiful loft in union square area), but everyone makes you feel at ease, and i was able to let the consultant know what i was looking for and my price point. Amy's style is elegant and simple...you wear the dress (not the other way around). i actually liked more than 1 dress but decided on the first one i tried on. i didn't commit on the first appt but made a 2nd appt and knew i really wanted the dress. i had some questions about making some adjustments, and the consultant called up Amy Kushel who was up in the design studio, and she came down to answer my questions in person. she's so sweet and friendly (and funny!), and was honest about what looked good/not good on me. she hung around and wanted to see my top few choices and gave me feedback on each dress. once i made the decision, i was measured in 20 different places (be sure you're wearing clean underwear and shaven!) for my dress to be made just for ME. i went in for my first fitting a few weeks ago and it literally already fits me like a glove. but, they still gave me 4+ more fittings leading up to the wedding to make sure i have a ton of chances to make it absolutely perfect. my fitting consultant is extremely meticulous and patient, and she spent a lot of time just telling me about what to expect on the wedding day and giving me a lot of other advice on things i'd not even considered. i'm surprised to say i'm looking forward to the next fittings. who knew i'd be happy & enjoy standing around in my underwear w/strangers!

What is there not to love about Amy Kuschel? The girls who all work there are knowledgeable, sweet, and not pushy. The dress selection is amazing...esp if you love simple, elegant, timeless gowns. And I must say, they design dresses to fit a woman's body like a glove. The salon is beautiful. Most importantly, they designed the wedding dress of my dreams! I enjoyed going in for my fittings and seeing my dress come together. The prices are extremely reasonable as well, considering that they custom design your dress to fit!

I want to wear this dress every single day, I will never ever look back and think "that is so dated". I was lucky enough to get my dress altered at Amy Kuschel as well, which I think they have stopped doing. My dress was all French Lace, and ivory, with a V front and V back. It needed to be shortened and I was terrified that the lace could be ruined or I would have to put in a hem that would take away from the scalloped lace edges. They are miracle workers because that dress turned out perfect. I keep repeating, LISTEN to the vendors, they know best, because they do. They do these things for a living, you dont. Patricia at Amy Kuschel advised that I should get a French bustle put in the back. It was hand sewn in and she made sure that I knew how to do it so as not to disturb the delicate fabric. I have NEVER felt so beautiful as I did in that dress, which I paired with hot pink satin Louboutin's, my aunt's antique pearl earrings, and my mothers add a pearl necklace. It was the right balance of delicate, sexy, simple, and intricate that I had always wanted. Wearing that dress, I could feel the work that had gone into the design, how well the designer knew a woman's figure, and could accentuate without being overwhelming. Again, I just wish I could wear it every day and I think that this dress has a chance of being worn by my daughters or nieces someday.

Amy Kuschel was the second or third place that I visited for wedding dresses. I knew that I wanted a fitted, elegant, dress and I had heard that their dresses really complimented you silhouette. The minute I tried on their dresses I knew I was going to get my dress from them and I did! I could not have been more happier with my decision. The staff is so friendly and professional and helpful. They made the dress to fit exactly to my body. Although my dress was a bit more expensive than I had planned on spending, it was worth every single penny. The detail work and the fabrics that are used are of such high quality. Plus your fittings and alterations are all included in the original cost. I also purchased my veil from them and the color and style matched perfect with the dress. Overall, it was the best wedding dress shopping experience. I loved every minute of it and if I could do it all over again, I would go straight to Amy Kuschel. They're amazing and their dresses are stunning. My dress I think was the biggest hit at the wedding so it was all worth it!

I got my wedding dress from Amy Kuschel and could not have been happier. From the first time I went there to look at dresses, through to my final fitting -- they were courteous, warm, helpful and professional. They make your dress specifically to your measurements. As a result, my dress fit perfectly and was incredibly comfortable. I also found their pricing to be very reasonable, particularly given the high quality of work and fabrics, and what I would have otherwise spent on alterations. I also got my veil and necklace from Amy Kuschel. Again, they were incredibly helpful (and not at all pushy) picking out accessories that accentuated my look and fit my style perfectly. In the end, I had exactly the enjoyable sort of experience I wanted when picking out my wedding dress and dress I absolutely loved.

My dress was the hit of the evening. I am so so happy that I found Amy Kuschel. The dress was fit for my body and it was STUNNING. From my first dress try on to my fourth fitting they were always so professional and kind. The best part of Amy's dresses is that the alterations are included in the price, which for me was exactly what sold me on them. Other places quoted me anything from 200 to 800 as AVERAGE. These dresses are for the modern women looking for something sophisticated and simple. Some ball gowns, but not a lot of puff and sparkle. I can't recommend Amy's enough. You are one lucky lady if you get one of her dresses!! Oh, and they make the dresses on the 6th Floor and the SF floor is on the 5th floor, so it's locally made!!

This is the only other place in town that had ready to wear dresses in silk in sizes 12 and 14 and 16. Her designs are simple clean and elegant. Their isn't a lot of selection because it is mostly one designer but I like her style. The prices were half of what I saw at other places. Very professional and attentive staff. Accommodated me at the last minute!

Wonderful experience. I couldn't be happier with my dress. It first I was a little flabbergasted that I was paying so much for my dress, but the fact that it includes all your fittings and alterations and is custom made to your unique body, makes it all worth it. My dress was made of exquisite silk and was constructed so well. If you are anything like me and want a simple silk dress that is stunning - this is your place. I should also note that I was so very pleased with their customer service. From trying on dresses, to fittings, to picking her up, they were top notch all the way - without kissing up. This is really good to know, since sometimes places are only good to you before you sign on the dotted line. Highly highly recommend!!!! Also, if you buy your dress on your first or second visit, you get a discount of at least $100 off.
