DK Catering

Patrica was very nice whenever I spoke with her regarding my wedding. I've never tried their food before so I wanted to know what they could recommend but all she would recommended was a cheese platter. I'm not really a cheese fan so I ended up planning the menu myself. I got chicken Florentine with mashed potatoes, veggies, salad, the famous cheese platter and a fruit salad. Everyone raved about the pineapple, I was a nice wife and let my husband have mine but he gave it 2 thumbs up. My chicken was AMAZING. I was expecting a chicken breast in a white sauce but they actually breaded it and fried it. Mine was very moist however my sister's I heard was still very pink ... and it was warming in the over after it was delivered for about an hour :( Other than that I would for sure use DK Catering again.

My husband and I LOOOOOVE DK Catering, and we just cannot praise enough about them. Their food was GREAT! Our guests are still craving the food even after the wedding, and they all said that it was one of the best wedding meal they’ve ever had. DK Catering’s pricing is really reasonable compared to many other caterers that I contacted like Piper Johnson, Broadway Catering, etc. When I told the other caterers about my budget, they only allowed us to pick from sets of menus with either chicken or cheap cuts of beef. With DK Catering, we got seafood paella, lamb chops, flank steak, oyster, salmon, and the list goes on and on. They were very generous with their portions and they used really good ingredients. Patricia and Chef Dave, the owners of DK Catering, were the nicest people we met in the wedding industry. Patricia helped us so much in planning our wedding, not just the food. She helped us on the wedding rentals, and finding a florist that put together all of our flowers last minute. The flowers costed a lot cheaper than what other florists quoted me, and they looked just like what I imagined, PERFECT! During the wedding, DK Catering staff took really good care of our guests, and made sure that there’s always enough food and drinks going around. With their help, we were able to have a stress-free wedding, and just enjoy ourselves. They even packed us a box of food in case we go hungry after the wedding. They’re just the most thoughtful people. I will definitely recommend them to our friends and families. We’re lucky to have them cater at our wedding.

DK Catering did an amazing job catering our Wedding on September 19, 2009. Everyone is still raving about the food they prepared! Both Dave/Patricia and their staff were very attentive to us and our bridal party (keeping our plates warm as we took pictures and providing us with hors d’oeuvres as we were not able to join our guests at that point.) They paid such an attention to detail and helped the event run smoothly. We would highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a professional, experienced, and dedicated team. Their passion for their business was evident in the care you provided us and our guests. The Mother-of-the-Bride had just one complaint...at our meeting with DK we were informed that we would be given the left over food after the event. However, at the end of the wedding when we asked for the food we were denied due to health code reasons. We are understanding of heath code reasons, however, the conflicting information ruined the experience with this company for the Bride's parents.

Not only was the food and service fantastic, but the caterer also helped me in some general coordinating of the whole event.

We were so excited about working with this vendor as he has been a chef locally for some time and we were familiar with his cooking. And the FOOD was great-no complaints there at all! BUT, his wife runs the business and she is horrendous to work with. She simply does not return phone calls or emails. And they made all kinds of promises in the beginning, and yes most of them were in the contract. But then at the end, she tried to hit us up for an additional BIG chunk of money, claiming that we didn't have a contract, we had an "estimate"; believe me- we had a contract! She finally had no choice but to honor it, but her attitude was so horrendous from that point on that it was miserable. And we had not asked for any changes, extras, etc. There were things that didn't get done, and that bothered me, but at that point we're into the reception and they were things the guests probably did not notice, but we did. so while HE was great, and the food was wonderful, I definitely could not recommend them to anyone else. And I'm sorry for that, I want to send people referrals whenever I can, but no can do on this one!

Patricia and Dave were fantastic. They helped us chose a wonderful, custom menu and made the whole hall look amazing. Their staff was great and the food was fantastic. They were also an amazing value and provided a few surprises. We could not have been happier!
